Internet! Lol, internet!
So ROFLCon has been sort of from the sublime to the ridiculous thus far. I need to get back over there soon and continue to experience the internet in the form of Other peoples' t-shirts.

Yesterday I did two panels and a concert. The first panel was on the history of memes and transmission thereof, and it was freaking AWESOME. There's nothing better than someone passionate about a topic you know very little about, who speaks well about it, and has a sense of humour. I mean, sure, I'd heard of BBSes, but that was about as far back as I'd considered geekiness. This guy was talking about stuff from the nineteenth century in a really engaging way, and making me think, "hey, I bet those telegraph geeks would have been pretty nifty!" The second panel was largely crap, actually. BUT! I really wanted londo's cell number to mention that I saw MC Frontalot start playing turns in KoL in the middle of it. Amused me, and I just thought he'd appreciate that somehow. The panel itself was blah, and later got pretty effectively highjacked by someone really intent on discussing Net Netrality. I mean, a) not the topic of the panel, b) preaching to the choir.

Concert was largely enjoyable. In case you didn't know this, Lemon Demon is surprisingly awesome. (They're the ones known for "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny," but I really, really enjoyed the rest of their live set, and they do tons of mixed meter stuff, which is always fun.) We only caught three acts before leaving for a movie, but I'm pretty sure nothing would have topped Lemon Demon for me, anyhow.

Also, MC Frontalot is still fabulous, and I totally enjoyed Nerdcore Rising (documentary very largely focused on Frontalot, though theoretically pertaining to nerdcore in general, as well).

I should get going. Except I don't have any socks. *sigh*
